Who is Aman Gupta?

Aman Gupta is an Indian businessman, co-founder, and chief marketing officer of BOAT. He was only a little known before the launch of Shark Tank India season 1. But with this show, he became the talk of the town by being one of the 7 judges of Shark Tank India. He is a youth icon because of his immense success at a young age. This 1982-born young businessman has created a massive business with his electronic company Boat and made the company a Unicorn in the first half of 2021. After graduating from that university, he prepared for C.A. entrance, became one of the youngest to clear it, and joined the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. After completing one of the toughest courses, he became a C.A., as he always says, "It didn't give him the kick." So, he decided to do an MBA. He has two MBA degrees in finance & strategy and general management & marketing from the Indian School of Business and Kellogg Graduate School of Management, USA, respectively.

After completing CA, Aman started his career at Citibank as an assistant manager and worked till 2005. Then he began Advanced Telemedia Pvt. ltd in Sep 2005 with his father. When that firm struggled, he went on to do an MBA. Afterwards, he joined KPMG as a senior management consultant in 2011-12 and HARMAN International as sales director in 2012-13.

In November 2013, Aman and Sameer founded Imagine Marketing Services Pvt. Ltd., the parent corporation of the Boat Company. That's where Boat started its journey.

The boat is a smart wearable and audio company whose target audience is millennials. It crossed the 100 crore sales mark within two years of its launch. The company started its journey by selling charging cords and chargers for iPhones.
